The Mustard Seed Generation (MSG) promotes holistic identity development by reducing cultural gaps in multigenerational Koreans and Korean-Americans to promote well-being.

The massacre at Virginia Tech was a blatant reminder that discourse and education around such tabooed topics needed to happen soon for Korean-Americans, and in response, Mustard Seed Generation was created, which solely focuses on educating and servicing Korean American youth and young adults via leadership conferences. Our organizational goals are:

1) that culture-specific education provided by ethnically-matched educators and counselors will increase knowledge of mental health services,

2) to decrease the cultural stigma associated with seeking help,

3) to increase openness and confidence toward receiving services,
